Emily was a little disappointed. She had visions of her and Josh fighting evil together as Aurors. But it sounded like his mind was made up. Josh never told Emily anything personal anyway - maybe it’s because she was only a firstie, she didn’t know - but it did hurt a bit that he didn‘t appear to trust her enough. She thought they were mates. But there was little point in pursuing the matter further, even though Ems knew there was something up. “If you say so..” was all she said.
“The best time possible.” Yeah..I’m sure I will.” Emily said with a hint of sarcasm in her voice. “If He’s there it’s gonna be great fun. ..I don’t know what my dad's thinking..” She mumbled almost to herself but this was neither the time nor the place to be even thinking about it. Emily had come here to have fun and fun she would have.
She giggled as Josh twirled her. “You’re great at this!” She said happily, forgetting her woes completely. "Where did you learn to dance so well?"
