As Fabian suddenly pulled her closer to him, Angela glanced up, slightly startled at his movement. She found, however, that she did not mind. As they went into a twirl, Angela shook her head upon hearing the question before moving back into Fabian. "Your goat?" She asked with another smile. "Ah, the whole book incident bothered me at first, but I'm okay with it now." She reassured him. "I don't have a problem with Fex. What's done is done. I couldn't not like your goat just because of a lone incident." She replied as she caught Fabian's eye. Macadrian had fought back tears the entire time she marched from her office to the Yule Ball, determined to simply find Fabian to say goodbye. She assumed he would be there with the rest of the staff, though she doubted he would be enjoying himself since she was leaving. They were friends and he would likely be unhappy with her dismissal from the school. As she walked by the dance floor, she spotted a pair dancing out of the corner of her eye. She hadn't thought anything of it initially, but then did a double take to see Fabian dancing with Angela, the librarian. Immediately, a feeling unlike any other washed over her, wrenching her insides and flushing her cheeks. She thought angrily, 'And here I thought he might be just the slightest bit upset that I was being fired! But no! There he is dancing and having a good time.' Macadrian spotted Angela smiling and Fabian pulling her closer and she began to feel sick. She hadn't really thought of Fabian as anything more than a friend, but seeing him dance with Angela made Mac unsettled. Perhaps it was simply because she felt undesireable - the school didn't want her, Fabian didn't seem to value their friendship much - or perhaps it was because she had never even known Fabian and Angela were close, apparently closer than she and him were all along. Either way, Macadrian was unhappy and anger filled her once more. She marched over toward the pair, her tangerine colored dress billowing behind her and her eyes narrowed. She tapped Fabian on the shoulder with more force than necessary and trying to keep her voice low, grumbled, "You know, you at least could have made an attempt to seem disappointed that I was leaving! I show up at my office and I'm locked out, so the Headmistress apparently doesn't think I'm valuable to the school. Then, I come here to say goodbye, thinking you're the only friend I have among the staff, since clearly they were all in on it, and here I find you enjoying yourself, having a dance with a woman you clearly think has more value to you than me! So much for friendship, huh?" Macadrian glared at Fabian as tears welled up in her eyes. She wanted to storm off and not bother to listen to his excuse, but she couldn't move from the spot.
