“Hah! I was right!” Evangeline’s stomach dropped slightly when she saw Clifford approaching and raised an eyebrow when he put a hand over his mouth. He better not be laughing of her outfit. Not now she was getting used to it! But she couldn’t help to chuckle slightly at what he was wearing. It seemed – weird.
She snorted when he said they looked nice but grinned nevertheless. “Thank you…I think.” She wrinkled her nose and turned around to look at the dancers. She really didn’t know who to behave now he was here. She almost dropped her chocolate malt when Bella spoke of Warren, just the mention of his name was enough to leave her slightly out of breath. She knew she was just being silly, she didn’t have a reason to be scared of him anymore. And she wasn’t quite sure of which thought was more depressing.
It was with a grin however that she watched Bella give her present to Clifford. She watched him carefully, she wasn’t exactly sure of what his reaction would be. |
