Lesson 2: The Core and Companion Numbers You enter the Arithmancy classroom, and just as last time, you see neat and exactly-positioned rows of wooden desks and chairs. Again for your comfort, the chairs have cushions in a myriad of colors and textures to match your comfort and liking. Numbers are floating all around the room and the windows are open, letting in a cool autumn breeze and blowing the golden curtains just slightly. Professor Shackleton is at the front of the room, sitting at her desk, preparing for today's lesson. She is dressed in ornate robes of navy and gold. On the board behind her is written: "Please be sure to have your journals with you and ready to take notes! Please take a seat and wait quietly for the lesson to begin." |
