So that everyone knows and is clear on this, this is a ONE-SHOT fanfiction that is a request piece for a friend of mine about what happens at the end of everything when Voldemort's finally beaten and everything. I hope that everyone enjoys this piece as much as I did as I was writing it.

<span style='color:red'>The procession was beautiful. There were flowers everywhere; millions of varieties, millions of colors. Someone had brought sunflowers, another had brought white roses, and yet others had brought poppies, tulips, and petunias. Millions of flowers.

And millions of tears. Tears flowed in every direction from family to friend to acquaintances. Most people had never met each other before where others had been together for years. No one person had no tears in their eye; not even old Cornelius Fudge. Ron hugged Hermione close to him and hushed the children who were simply wailing in protest. Ginny hugged her knees closer to herself before she inched her way up to the coffin at the front of the room.

Pulling a handkerchief from her robes, she blew her nose as she looked upon the somewhat peaceful face of Albus Dumbledore lying in the casket. A wicked sob tore at her throat as she shook her head, closing her eyes in disbelief. Dumbledore had been a father to all of them and now he was.... gone...

Millions of flowers. Millions of tears.

<span style='color:green'>The cell door could be heard throughout Azkaban as it opened and shut on the most evil sorcerer who'd ever walked the Earth. Voldemort was finally detained, his high stature of propaganda intelligence stripped; worth little more than idle chatter in his current state.

Dementors no longer guarded the cells of Azkaban, their final betrayal earning them all a sentence of non-existance. They had been lined up, one by one, and depleted of their storages of souls. Without their life force, the evil creatures had drifted into nothingness, returning to the air and sky from which they came.

Instead, creatures discovered by none other than Luna Lovegood, herself, kept watch over the prison because the wizarding community still held a great disbelief in the death penalty. All Death Eaters were now in Azkaban, having been given Veritaserum at their trials to make sure whether or not they had been under curses.

"D'you think we'll have to worry about this one any?" asked one of the men who had led Voldemort to his cell.

The other looked at him and smirked a bit. "Not at all," he said.

The soul-less wizard looked up at them with unseeing eyes from his position propped up against a wall, unable to function at all.

"Not at all."

<span style='color:gray'>A tomb, silent and dreary, stood atop the hill on the edge of the Forbidden Forest just outside of Hogwarts. At the bottom of the stone was carved the words, "For those who chose what was right over what was easy."

The tomb was filled with names; names that had once belonged to people. Names next to deeds, to positions, to honors and awards. Names lost in the fight; given up by the ones who had chosen to protect men instead of self. Names.

"Longbottom, Neville; Auror; valiance and courage; Order of Merlin First Class
Malfoy, Draco; special agent/spy; bravery and heart; Order of Merlin Second Class
Weasley, Arthur; brilliance and Muggle intelligence; Order of Merlin Third Class
Black, Sirius; wrongly acused; unselfishness; Order of Merlin First Class
Dumbledore, Albus; mentor/commander; Order of Merlin First Class"

More and more, the names rolled on. More loved ones and more heroes.

"Snape, Severus; special agent/spy; Order of Merlin First Class
Trelawney, Sybil; Divinator/Seer; Order of Merlin Third Class
McGonagall, Minerva; Animagus; general; Order of Merlin Second Class"

Too many names to count, too many awards given to soldiers who'd fought for everything and lost themselves in preparing for newer generations. Then, at the very bottom of the list. The last name...

<span style='color:darkblue'>Ginny's eyes traveled from the casket where her beloved Headmaster lay with tears already forming at the barriers of her eyes. She adjusted the plain ring on the fourth finger of her left hand in anticipation as she walked over to the second casket. A casket with no body within.

She couldn't seem to get her mind around what they were going to do with that second coffin. They were going to bury it with no body inside; without the namesake for whom the memorial was for. She peered inside the coffin to see what everyone placed inside. There were pictures and small tokens. A small girl had put in a handful of wildflowers she had picked earlier. She tugged at Ginny's robes, catching her attention.

In tears, Ginny looked down. "Yes?"

"Mommy," the little girl said, "When's daddy coming back? I miss him."

Ginny looked at the photographs in the casket once more; pictures of a couple and a small child of no older than one. She removed her wedding band and placed it between a picture of the couple and their son and a picture of Ginny and Harry holding their daughter.

Trying to remain strong Ginny placed an arm around the girl's shoulders and said, "We've got a lot to talk about, Lily."
