Slytherin by heart He nodded softly to Saylie. "These plants are a sort of mourning in nature. Since they've spread, they tend to appear in areas where fire often is a destructive force. However, until such a time, they remain in their ghost-like state. They simply can't grow any more until there is a fire. Which of course can be replicated without harm to other plants. These are not the only plants, either. There is a sort of pine that will only release its seeds in the heat of a flame."
Turning to Willow, he thought momentarily on it. "Truthfully, the only key to that may lie in the plants, as we don't know what gives them their ghost-like appearance in the early stages, and their seeds are unlike that which we have ever seen. Some things are magically spontaneous, however. One even speculated that she was the result of a lonely young witch who was dying, and her powerful magic created Ghosty as a companion until her death."
To Seth, he answered, "We will, once all questions are complete, of course."
To Kerry's question, he couldn't help but smirk. "Sometimes, you just follow instinct, and instinct leads to legend, and legend leads to something incredible. However, I did have some help through the Department of Mysteries." "You can, of course, try to touch them how. However they'll pass right through your hand. It's one of those things that makes transplanting interesting. You must handle the soil, rather than the plant."
