10 – Arithmancy Luna sighed and picked at her arithmancy homework. She never had liked numbers much, as they were too narrow-minded and definite. She preferred Divination, though it was a bit hokey to her.
“Having fun with your homework, I see,” Neville said, shifting towards her and staring at the complicated numbers. He was glad he hadn’t chosen to take Arithmancy the previous year.
“Loads,” Luna sighed, closing the book. “It’s actually not too bad, if you think positively.”
He had the urge to squeeze her hand as it lay upon the textbook. After contemplating and hesitating, he followed through.
She smiled.
