It's Time For A Party!

The Witching Hour, the people who brought the Nimbus 2003 HP convention to the US and who are bringing The Witching Hour (an academic HP symposium/convention) to Salem, Massachusetts on October 2005, are also hosting PoA line-parties in many major US cities for the opening show on June 4th!

What is a Line-Party?

A line-party is "groups of friends and strangers who share a fascination with Harry Potter and wish to get together in the line for the movie" as told by TWH website.

This will allow fans to wait in line hopefully together and open new opportunities for friendships and conversations and a whole lot of fun! :flowersmile:

The party generally begins a few hours before the showing and sometimes ends with another get-together later, but it really depends on which line-party you happen to be attending and what the host's plans are.

If you wish to join a line-party, all you need to do is email the host or hostess who's hosting the line-party you wish to attend and they will keep you updated.

I'm the host/hostess for the San Francisco-based line-party you see listed on the site.

The party will be held at The Metreon in downtown San Francisco. More information on the location can be found here:

Because the theater has not yet released the showing times, I can not say exactly when the party will begin (or end) as of yet, but I will be sure to update as soon as I know.

If you're in the area and you'd like to join my Line-Party, here's some information:

1) Advanced ticket purchase HIGHLY recommended if not required.

Because of the popularity of the show, tickets will be sold out if you try and buy them at the theater the day of the show.

If you happen to not be able to attend, you are more than welcome to join the party anyway since it's dedicated to all the HP fans out there! :sorcerer:

2) Email me at the address you see on the webpage.

PLEASE do not PM me!

3) SF is full of things to do, so if you're from out of town and want to visit around, I highly recommend doing so and in fact might organize an informal tour around the city the day after the showing for those who wish to stick around.

4) Costumes very much encouraged!

I myself will be decked out as Draco Malfoy, so... :sorcerer:

5) Bring your HP fangirl or fanboy in you and a good attitude!

There will be a lot of people there, so it's expected that there will be bits of chaos and duels and general HP mayhem going on.
