The moment Kia saw how his facial expression changed she regretted her own words. 'I'm sorry' She sighed. 'I guess I never got over it. But how could I have? You were my best friend' She shot him a sweet smile, hoping he would forgive her. After all, she didn't want to waste time discussing useless things.

'Anyway, how did you convince your parents to come to Hogwarts? I thought they didn't like the school that much' She crossed her fingers behind her back after being sure Gavin wouldn't be able to see it, as if that would make him forgive her for her previous reaction.

"Yeah, kids," Gavin snorted, rolling his eyes. "They weren't ready to face something like that, which is why they need to study and train harder." Gavin glanced over at Kia when she mentioned that she couldn't keep quiet. "You're right about that," Gavin agreed, then cocked his head. "You wanted to fight? Yeah, right. What's the occasion?"

He flicked his gaze away when she apologized to him. "Sorry never cuts it," he muttered, a scowl on his face. He stayed that way until he looked back at her, the scowl gone and a small smile replacing it. "I guess it'll work for you, though... Just this once," he warned.

"Convince them?" Gavin repeated, then shook his head. "My mother sent me here.. after they took my father. She didn't want me to bother her, being around her all day... which, I might add, I certainly wasn't a mama boy, so I was not hanging around her all day," Gavin interrupted himself, just to add that little bit. "But," he shrugged. "She did it willingly."
