Aunt Marge was in town for the week and Harry had promised not to do any 'funny business' while she was there. It was proving difficult however, and he had to remind himself of everything he learned in Muggle Studies to keep himself from doing something wrong. Vernon was finding it increasingly difficult to keep Marge's mind off Harry and onto other important matters. So, when Harry finally exploded on Marge's last night and caused her to blow up he lost it. Before he could do much however, Marge was bouncing down the street and the boy had taken off.
