"Who? Oh... Darrin? Well, I saw him yesterday and we... talked. I'm perfectly fine," Kristi said, carefully avoiding Marcella's eyes.

"And as for another woman for my father... I don't know. I've never seen him with any other women before. I always just assumed I'd be more comfortable with him seeing someone who was at least old enough to be a mother to me," she continued, hoping Marcella would drop the subject of Darrin and pick back up on the earlier thread of their conversation.
