Mallory walked up to the suit of armor. She was wondering whether it was magical or not. It might talk to me...but what if it doesn't? She was willing to give it a try. For the sake of the babies...she thought.

She tapped the armor. "Erm...excuse me?" Nothing. "Hello?" she tried again. Still nothing. But what if it just deosn't want to respond? It doesn't really mean it couldn't hear her, if, in fact, it was magical, right? "Look...Professor Rae's twins are missing and I really don't know if you're alive or not, but I'm telling you anyway...just in case...I just wanted you to be on the look out for them..." she felt stupid, standing there talking to a non-responsive suit of armor which probably didn't have any life at it at all!
