Harry Potter Comes to Wales

As an avid theatre patron and fan of music, I was most pleased to receive this announcement from the New Theatre, Cardiff, about a musical performance to be held at St.David's Hall, Cardiff (South Wales, UK) on Friday May 21st 2004, at 7.00pm.

The evening will be hosted by CBBC presenters Adrian Dickson and Kirsten O'Brien and will be conducted by BBC Now's Associate Guest Conductor Grant Llewellyn.

Together they will provide an introduction to the Orchestra, the different sections and instruments and introduce some of the greatest music ever written.

The Orchestra will perform a varied range of exciting music, including the theme tune from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, the 1812 overture and music from the popular TV show, The Simpsons. There will be a chance for younger members of the audience to meet the players from BBC NOW and even try their hand at conducting the Orchestra!

Tickets just £5 for adults and £2.50 for children under the age of 16. Tickets are avaliable from the BBC NOW Hotline and from St.Davids Hall Ticket Centre.

From more information on the event, you can email them at now@bbc.co.uk or visit their site http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/now
