Kristi's eyes widened in fear as Darrin was suddenly in front of her, his hand firmly clasped around her throat. This time, deliberately positioning his fingers ove rthe most vulnerable spot. Knowing it was useless, let alone dangerous, to struggle with that particular hold, she tried swallowing but, still only managed to mouth the word, "Okay." As Darrin released her, Kristi's hands rubbed at her throat as she tried to recover her breathing.
