Nefertari focused her attention now, on Miss Matos. She hadn't actually had time to think of anything, but a thought did strike her.

"Er..." she said, clearing her throat. "Perhaps, I could say something, Miss Mato?" she asked. She rose to her feet, clearing her throat again and addressing the two Ministers. "Ministers of Magic, I do hope you consider that perhaps it would be best for the sake of your country and your children the consequences of a fued. I am sure we are all familiar with the famed playwright, William Shakespeare, who wrote a tale of two star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet. It would be a sad day if this fued brought about such a grievious outcome.

"I believe embracing this union between your children, would benifit you both immensley. Imagine what you could do together; two nations united by the love of their children! There are many possibilities open for you: Trading, I am sure is one of your most favoured. Imagine what things you could discover working together and what of your children? If they are truly in love, would it not be best to let them be together? Would you really tear them apart? Ministers, I know you want the best for your children; perhaps, they have chosen what is best for them in each other.

Your children are both admirable decendants and I am sure you have raised them well, well enough to know who is best for them and what is best for their country. Perhaps, this union could benifit you both if you let it."

She sat down, hoping against hope that her speech hit home with the two Ministers. She glanced at Miss Matos, hoping for a sign from her Head of Department.
