At the Los Angeles premiere of
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, SnitchSeeker was lucky enough to interview producer David Barron and screenwriter Michael Goldenberg. Goldenberg was a bit taken aback by being interviewed by young SSer
cursedkatie.
You can watch the video right
here.
Quote:
SnitchSeeker: Are the children already cast for "Prince" going to play the kids in the cave? The young girl and boy?
Barron: No, we haven’t cast them yet. We’re in the process of casting them, but we haven’t done yet.
SnitchSeeker: Will there be Quidditch in "Prince?"
Barron: We are hoping so.
SnitchSeeker: Who would you like to see appear in the last two films who hasn’t already been cast in Harry Potter?
Barron: Well, it’s a difficulty because we’ve had almost all of the great English actors in the films so far. We’ve been really lucky because everyone’s wanted to be in the films. I won’t name any names, in case I miss someone out and offend them, but actually all of the great English actors we’d love to have in the films. I don’t know how many we’ll have room for, but we’d like to get them all in before it’s over.
-----------------------------------
Goldenberg: (to cursedkatie) Are you old enough to be a reporter? (to other reporters) Does she have a card? Are the police gonna get called here? I’m not sure this is legal. (laughter)
SnitchSeeker: Which character did you most enjoy writing about?
Goldenberg: Oh, I love them all. But I have a soft spot for Luna Lovegood, I have to say.
SnitchSeeker: Which character was the most challenging?
Goldenberg: That’s a good question. You know, I guess in a good way, Harry was ‘cause Harry’s going through some complicated stuff in the movie.
SnitchSeeker: Will you be returning for "the Hallows?"
Goldenberg: Oh, the seventh one? I don’t know yet. I think that’s a way’s off.
We have more interviews to come over the next few days … stay tuned.
