“Miss Chang here has admitted under the influence of Veritaserum that she has been spiking the drinks of the entire school with Amortentia, the most powerful love potion in the world-”
“WHAT!” Yelled Harry before looking at Cho. “I knew it you filthy desperate-”
“Please Harry calm down, I’m aware of how this has affected your relationships with your friends and Miss Weasley. Cho will receive an appropriate punishment I assure you.” Said Dumbledore and Harry sat down shooting daggers at Cho. Ginny was still sitting on her chair crying silently. Dumbledore continued.

“Cho has been brewing the Potion in Murtle’s bathroom…” Harry, Ron and Hermione smirked. “The potion however was brewed badly partly to Cho’s advantage; it affected Harry’s feelings for Cho as normal. But it gave Cho a level of control over Harry like the Imperius curse and he doesn’t remember any activities with her as a result of this. The effects of the potion are limited time wise so he is only under her control when he sees her. Once she is gone he is left with the memory of having a meal or doing homework in the library. That is why whenever you returned that library book Harry, you found it in your bag later. You never returned it. Also the homework notes you took were never taken.
Also you mentioned teleporting around the corner. Evidently Cho timed that event badly so she took you out of the trance manually before you reached the same point in the trance that you were standing at in real life. Very complicated but she managed to do it correctly the second time so you came out of the trance in the same place. She was unaware of the stomach lurches and vision problems that enabled you to figure out what was happening.”
“But Professor,” Harry interrupted. “How did she find out what her mistake had done to the effects of the potion?”
“I believe she looked up what would happen if the potion ended up pink, am I right?” Dumbledore looked at Cho who nodded slowly without looking at anyone.
“Professor you said she spiked everyone in Gryffindors drinks? How come we’re not… in love with her?” Asked Hermione.
“Amortentia will only work with the targets hair in it, so it only affects the target. Cho threatened Neville Longbottom with telling Luna Lovegood he was unfaithful, so that he’d somehow bring her one of Harry’s hairs. Therefore the Potion would only affect Harry. She got the Potion into the drinks via Kreacher, Sirius’ old house elf, who is currently working in the Hogwart’s kitchens. He is working there because I am not sure who he belongs to, Sirius’ will has not yet been discovered.”
Suddenly Ginny spoke:
“Professor can you take these ropes off me they’re digging into my wrists and ankles?”
“Yes Miss Weasley you can all leave except Miss Chang good evening.” Said Dumbledore and Ron left instantly, followed by Hermione. Harry left after while Ginny was being untied. Ron and Hermione were already out of sight when he reached the bottom of the stairs so he headed for the common room alone.
Suddenly Ginny ran up behind him and gave a bone-crushing hug, muttered
“I’m sorry”, kissed him and then scurried off down the corridor.
Harry just stood there smiling to himself, as he realised how much he’d missed Ginny.

that does mean Harry and Ginny are back together btw
