Madeline stuck her hand in her pocket and felt something. There was a piece of candy that she had left over from a visit to her niece, and a sudden idea struck Madeline.
"Do you want a piece of candy?" she asked the young girl. "It's from the doctor. It's yours if you come out and let us make sure you aren't hurt."
The young girl looked timid and afraid, but slowly crawled out, giving Madeline a better view of her. Madeline led the girl to a bench and handed her the candy, which she stuck in her own pocket for later. Madeline then quickly reached for her wand and pointed, muttering "Oblivate" before the girl could get away. Her eyes slid out of focus, and Madeline planted a memory of the girl falling asleep on the bench by accident. She stood up and headed down the street towards the area where Ivan had just been, ready to look for more victims.
