The following is mine; it's a song called Alone at Home: The melody isn't mine, just the lyrics. The song is so beautiful I cannot help myself cry some times =P Enjoy my version^^ I was thinking specially of Harry Potter when making it, though it also applies to other cases.

*I'm not an English native speaker (we both aren't); please point out my errors on expressions and such. Criticism appreciated!



Alone at Home

For so long, so alone,
Facing smiling lost of love,
Gazing though the night sky
- No places now to hide -
Thinking of what could have been.

Now no one is at home.
I thought I saw the ghost of a smile
Dancing in gloomy shadows,
Breathing to stand along.
They chant me good bye.

I can't hear you cry,
Can't feel you die.
In the cold, small steps
Of a long empty place
I thought I heard you.

There's no place to end,
No one...

No, no more tears
Where shred my hopes where.
This place I called home
Stores no warm at all,
I lost every of it
Within myself.

I am alone,
But in my head.
So full of myself
I didn't hear you call
My name.

I never knew you were.
Now it's too late,
For all I care,
I wanted to say
I'm sorry.

I know,
I needn't let you know
I could have silence it;
I could have played along,
I let you down.
Now there's nothing I can do.
The doors are closed shut.
My screaming just echoes.

Hear you say good bye.
Feel you no more...
All the places I could have run to;
No one left to go
So I stand here
Alone at home.
