Ariel shrugged as she sat down in the sand since they were going to wait for the other to wake up. She turned and watched the waves thinking. Her stomach let out a small growl and Chai chirped as if to say she to was hungry. "I know." she whispered as she stroked her white and brown feathers. Chai peck her hand softly and flew off. "Hey, Chai get back here." Ariel called after her jumping to her feet, but it was to late. She had already disappeared in the forest.

Sam walked silently along the beach. He felt his stomach growling in the inside,he felt as though he hadnt eaten for days.He watched as the mist gave the settled sun an eerie look. From a huge golden orb above the sea,it became a red ball above the horizon. The reflections of light, mixed with the mist, made the sky in the east, amber streaked with topaz.Rays of sunlight streaked across the water. He sighed in sudden boredom.

He looked back when Ariel called out loudly for her bird.He wondered what was going on.He soon realised that her bird had disappeared through the forest. He ran back towards them, panting slightly.
"Should we go after it?"he asked, looking at the dark forest.
"Maybe..I'll go...I'm zure your bird wont fly too far away..."he said as he about to walk towards the forest.
Rose was pulled out of her moment with James as soon as she heard Ariel call for her bird. She looked over to where the girl was standing and saw that she and Sam where going to the forest! "Hey, guys," she called "don't go in there we have no idea what could be waiting for you behind those trees," she said to them pointing out the logical. The last thing they needed was to get lost in some unknown forest of some unknown world.

Nerina turned excitedly as Ionn asked who would come with him. She prevented herself from leaping too quickly. "I will!" she volunteered happily, wanting desperately to look at his lovely eyes. As she came closer to him she gathered enough courage to glance up. And there they were, forest pools in shade. Deep, fathomless, and speaking infinite volumes to the secret places of her heart. She felt like she was fizzing away slowly. Like she was drowning in honey. And it was exquisite. She sighed involuntarily.

Murough nodded at Ionn. Of course he was going! He wouldn't miss meeting these for anything. He glanced at Fay as she promised to keep her sword sheathed and he grinned at her cheekily. Yeah, that girl being cautious, the sea would turn to blood first! Now he had noticed her beauty before his eyes began to pick up other things about her that before would have seemed commonplace, but now, seemed fascinating. Like the way her shiny hair moved around her body. And the way she was so brave, almost to a fault.

But Naji's sudden motion drew his attention away. And he suddenly felt a little odd. What was he doing watching Fay like that? He shook his head in annoyance and ran a hand through his hair. "So let's go then." he said with a touch of impatience, "But, do you think we should hold our hands up as we approach to show them we mean no harm? And who should be the spokesperson?" he glanced at Fay and could not help a small smirk, "Sorry, Fay, " he teased, "But I don't think it should be you."

Snap out of it girl, she thought to herself. "You don't think I'd be a good spokes person?" she asked quite innocently. "And I had great sucess the first time I went over there." She laughed and then said, "Yeah, well, maybe I shouldn't be the spokes person... But I am going!" She looked at all of their faces, a few a bit doubtful. I will not beg, I will not beg, I will not beg she told herself over and over. I have never and I'm not starting right now! She looked at Murough, then to Naji, then to Nerina, eyes opened sweetly wide, purple orbs shining in the light. "I won't say anything." Noticing that that probably wasn't the problem also added, "Or run them through." She turned her eyes back to he own age group but then decided the younger islanders wouldn't like that so gave them a glance as well.

He couldn't quite understand it. He glanced at his friends. He knew she had abit of a temper, but she had already told them things they wouldn't otherwise have known...

But now her lovely purple eyes were on him and a strange feeling tugged in his stomach. How odd. He was not sure he had felt anything like this before. Not even when flirting with the village girls. Strange. It must be excitement about the prophecy he concluded firmly. He turned his attention firmly back to Fay, who was just concluding that she wouldn't run them through.

"I certainly hope not!" he exclaimed in mock indignation, "They are after all, our saviours..." he grinned at Fay cheekily, but not for too long. Those eyes were still making him feel a little odd. Perhaps he should avoid looking at her until this feeling passed. He turned to his friends and sister and nodded. He wasn't quite sure why, but it felt like the thing to do. "Let's go!" he repeated, taking hold of Nerina's arm and began pushing quietly toward the beach.
Ionn smiled at Nerina when she proclaimed the girl would like her. He had no doubt about it and would have told her that, had her brother not been a few paces away. When she came and stood next to him he looked down and into her stormy gray eyes and felt a storm of emotion erupt inside him as gazed into them lost in the sheer beauty of their simplicity. Hearing her sigh he smiled warmly at her and looked away slowly when he heard Murough approach. "Okay Lets go," he said since everyone was beginning to get impatient he lead the way up to the small group and allowed his hands to be seen. "Hello there," he called to them waving a hand in the air.

She turned and looked up at Sam. "I don't know where she went. She could be anywhere." Ariel said as she looked at the forest again hoping that Chai might come flying back out, but she didn't. A thought of another creature eating Chai appeared in her head, but she quickly shook the thought away. "I can't let you go in there alone. What if something happens?" she asked. Grabbing his arm to prevent him from walking over to the forest. She knew that he was older than her and could take care of himself, but she didn't want him to go alone when they didn't know much about the island.

Rose waited for the two to come back, but before she could call out to them again heard some one call in greeting. Still holding her wand she twirled around and faced the coming group. Her wand held tightly by her side she threw Ariel and Sam another get over here look, she did not want to be alone when facing these odd group of people, who looked like they had just come out from the pages of a wizard history book. She made her way towards them and held up one hand in greeting, "Good day to you," she said to the man that spoke, she was sure he was only two or three years older then she. She noticed Fay coming up behind him and held her wand a bit tighter, never underestimate your opponent was right clearly these were reinforcements.

Ionn came closer to the girl and smiled as he stopped a comfortable few feet away. "We mean you no harm," he said holding up his hands so that she may see he was unarmed. "I'm sorry if previous encounters were not ..er...pleasant," he apologized, "but our friend Fay only means well," he assured her. doubting the idea slightly himself. "I am Ionn son of Tamwyn," he said introducing himself and waiting for the others to follow suit.
