He looked up at them and held a hand up to stop them asking questions. "They are humans from earth," he said to them simply as though it were the most ordinary thing "That explains their flat ears, and as for other Islands there are none between the sky and the earth except for Fincayra." He said trying to answer each question in turn, "No the Prophecy doesn't say anything about that but old texts of how Merlin came here say that he too had different ears which in time became as pointy as ours, now I'm sure the one that spoke oddly came from another part of earth then which they came from." he explained still deep in thought, thoughts which he had to drag from sea gray eyes every time he let his mind wander off. "did they tell you where they were from?" he asked Fay trying hard not to look at Nerina who was sitting next to her. he worried that if he tried that again Murough wouldn't be too friendly about it and then he might never be able to see Nerina again.

Naji looked at the red haired women on the beach and recognized her to be Fay just as Murough said her name.

His silvery eyes widened when he saw what happened next. It had to be magic that the female used to get the sword out of Fay's hand. Truly amazed, wondering how she did it. It seem to have something to do with the stick he had in her hand. Naji continued to listen to the others talk, not feeling talkative at all.

Of course, the elders would disagree and her sisters would sigh impatiently and wonder why she just didn't stay home all day and do needle work, sip tea, and other proper things. Fay would just roll her eyes and ask them why they didn't go out every day and wrestle beasts in the forests. Then they would tell her to grow up already. Each of them were already engaged to a promising suitor, and all were younger than her. Fay had no time for silly things like love. She was not heartless, but not like her sisters who in her opinion were more heartless than her. "Should we go and tell our leader and elders?" she asked them, glancing at each of their faces and wondering what was wrong with Ionn. Seconds ago he had been staring at Murough's little sister. Odd. She quickly pushed her thoughts away an concentrated at the task on hand. She knew that the elders would like to know and they were supposedly wiser. Fay believed that the youth were wise as well but her learning told her the elders were much more intelligent. But could they handle a sword? She smiled a bit. Yes they can she thought to herself as she thought fondly of Arthur. He had taught her (in secret while she was ditching lady lessons) how to fight, swim, and ride. When they had begun lessons Fay was hesitant sense Arthur was so old and frail but she had been quickly driven from that. Arthur was a most skilled swordsman. To this day Fay couldn't defeat him. She snapped back into reality and waited for their opinions. She would like to tell the elders. Or atleast Arthur. He would understand. He was sort of like Fay... They did act alike.
Nerina refused to look at Ionn as he spoke, althought she was acutely aware of where he stood. Instead she looked at Naji. Actually, Naji was every bit as good looking as Ionn. And he was always nice to her. But she didn't feel like losing control when he was near. Which was rather contrary to how the rest of the village girls felt about him. They were also shooting jealous glances at Nerina. Not just because her brothers were fine young men, but because she hung out with her brother's very handsome friends.

Still, it was only Ionn that made her weak at the knees. She shook her head, so her sandy curls bounced slightly. Now was not the time to be musing about tangled loves. She concentrated on what Ionn was saying. Actually, it was very interesting! She listened as Fay described how they had come from countries Nerina had never heard of. Excitement bubbled within her again. These were truly the ones from the prophecy! The people would soon be free! She looked at her brother in delight, but he did not seem to be paying her amy attention at all.

Murough turned to listen to his friend carefully. It was all very interesting. And vaguely confusing. Still, he was not one to sit around, talking. He wanted to do something. "We decided earlier that we would tell no one until we were sure of who they were." he answered Fay slowly, "Mostly because we knew that Kira and Emrys would never be peaceful about it...' he grimaced, his face showing distaste for the way the leaders, both fine people, could not sort out their differences. "But, now we know more..." he wondered aloud, now looking at Naji and Ionn, "Should we talk to them first, perhaps a little nicer this time, " he shot a look at Fay, "And bring them to the village?"
