The Hogwarts express was leaving and almost everyone in the school was going home for Christmas. Some were stupid enough to fight over the train compartments that had “nicer” seats. The trio and Ginny found a rather small compartment. Harry and Ginny spent five minutes trying not to laugh as the trolley lady yelled at them for “public displays of affection”… again… It didn’t help that everyone else in the compartment was smirking behind her!
“That was so funny! I can’t believe you two sometimes we can’t separate you!” said Ron.
“Not as funny as the time when Hermione got full marks on the Gilderoy Lockhart test, “what is my favourite colour?”” said Harry and Hermione blushed.
“I got full marks to…” moaned Ginny hanging her beautiful head.
“You should be very ashamed of yourself then!” replied Harry.
“I am…”
All the Weasleys were waiting for them at King’s Cross Station so Harry and Ginny had to put on a low profile (none of the Weasleys knew yet). Although everyone looked very suspicious as they walked together and talked constantly. Harry was very surprised to see a very smug looking Dudley waiting for him, standing next to a girl almost as big as him.
“Hi Harry! You haven’t got a girlfriend? That’s weird coz I HAVE!” All Dudley’s friends smirked behind him but Harry just laughed as Ginny came up to him and kissed him while her family wasn’t watching. Dudley gaped at them and turned bright red. All Dudley’s friends were gazing at Ginny like she was model on television. Jealously flashed in all their faces. Luckily Cho Chang, Alison Edwards and Lavender Brown chose that moment to appear behind them arguing over Harry again.
“Harry come on go out with me again it will do you good to be with some one more… mature. We were like a team! There’s no I in team Harry.” Said Cho.
“Yeah, there’s no U either. So if I’m not on the team, and you’re not on the team, nobody’s on the stupid team! The team sucks! You mature? Whatever…” Harry replied.
“See I told you Cho he wants to go out with me! Can’t you just leave us alone it’s so annoying isn’t it Harry?” said Alison.
“Oddly enough I don’t want to go out with anyone but Ginny, so can you just go away!” The three girls retreated shooting scowls at Ginny.
“Isn’t annoying when every girl in the school wants to go out with you Ickle Diddidums? What I’d give for no one to fancy me!” said Harry and he walked away smirking.
Before retreating to Grimmauld Place they stopped by “Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes” (the twins shop) to collect Fred and George. The shop was amazing and full of life. There was kind of buzz in the air that gave the shop an electric atmosphere. The skiving snackboxes that the twins had perfected last year were disappearing every second. Cho Chang and a group of friends lingered around the love potions excitedly (Harry hid behind the shelves much to the amusement of everyone else).
Grimmauld Place was full of Order members on arrival who greeted the teens enthusiastically. Tonks immediately pulled Ginny aside looking very curious.
“Ginny please tell me you and Harry are still together!”
“Yes of course we are! I waited so many years for him and guess what he did the other day…” She replied and began to explain the whole “ashamed” business. When she’d finished Tonks gaped at her before going outside to gape at Harry. Gaping was Tonk’s new habit and hobby.
After a very welcoming dinner everyone fell asleep in the Living room. Ron and Hermione sat cosily in an armchair and to the suspicion of everybody else; Harry and Ginny fell asleep on eachother’s shoulders.
