It was Justin's idea to make Susan a cake for her birthday. The old lady next door was very helpful giving him a recipe and some eggs, and Justin set himself up in the kitchen of the small flat he shared with Susan.
Everything was going well until Justin put the cake into the oven. Pleased with himself, he sat down in the armchair to have a rest. Needless to say he fell asleep. He was woken by the smoke detector going and the cake was aflame. Justin had just extinguished it when Susan arrived home.
