So deep was the need to distract himself that reading Hogwarts, A History had become more of a necessity than a mere hobby when one was extremely and pathetically bored. After skimming the pages for five minutes, Sirius heaved a sigh and chucked the book at Peter’s sleeping head. The pudgy boy woke with a start, arms flailing about.

“The chickens! THE CHICKENS ATE THE CORN!” He roared half-asleep.

Remus unbothered by the fiasco continued to work on his homework, James and Sirius; however, stared unblinkingly at the screaming youth before opening their mouths to let out fountains of laughter.
