Chapter 6: Flirting Monsters!

The trio and Ginny spent most of the train journey playing Wizard’s Chess and eating chocolate frogs. When they arrived at Hogsmeade station they were desperate to do anything but play chess, much to Ron’s disappointment (he had won all five tournaments). At the feast Ginny could already feel the eyes watching her as she sat next to Harry, talked to him, smiled at him. Lavender Brown was glaring at her menacingly all dinner, but smiled sweetly whenever Harry noticed. Lavender was one of the girls (along with Alison Edwards) who blew kisses at Harry through the doors of the train compartment. Harry had simply ignored all the girls flirting with him through the glass as all his attention was given to Ginny. At one point a girl in Ginny’s year had stopped at the window to wave at Harry and blow kisses. Ginny was busy telling a story about an accident someone had in Potions, so all Harry’s attention was on her. Without taking his gaze off his girlfriend he had moved over to the door and shut the blinds in her flirting face. The offended gasp was heard through the door and Ginny glowed in pride. He wanted her and no one else.

Ron and Hermione left to shepherd the first years so Harry and Ginny went back to the common room together, followed by the glares of jealous girls. They didn’t seem to be able to get through a single corridor without some random girl saying:
“Hi Harry” in a honey voice. She could tell he was struggling not to laugh at all the faces.

Parvati Patil’s POV

Parvati was feeling left out. Ever since she admitted to Lavender that she didn’t fancy Harry, her best friend had started hanging around with Alison Edwards. Alison doesn’t even like Divination! She’s as crazy as Hermione Granger, I still can’t believe that girl gave up Divination how could she? Parvati was pondering on how on Earth Hermione Granger could have given up Divination when she heard raised voices coming from the stairs to the fat lady.
“NO WAY HE’S MINE, HE DIDN’T EXACTLY IGNORE ME ON THE TRAIN” yelled Lavender’s voice.
“O YEH HE WAVED AT ME I SWEAR” bellowed what sounded like Alison.
“YOU LYING BI**H HE DIDN’T EVEN LOOK AT YOU”
“YES HE DID, HE’LL DUMP THAT GINGER COW FOR ME AND YOU KNOW IT YOU’RE JUST JEALOUS”
“OH YEH PROVE IT ASK HIM OUT THEN, GO ON I DARE YOU ALISON EDWARDS TO ASK OUT HARRY POTTER”
“FINE I WILL YOU’LL SEE” finished Alison and they both stormed towards the fat lady who was covering her ears and looking extremely annoyed.

Ginny’s POV

The common room was empty, as everyone else had gone to bed by now. Upon seeing this Harry leaned in and kissed her passionately. She slung her arms round his neck and heard the portrait hole open, but she didn’t care anyone could look. Suddenly she was pulled away from Harry and two girls appeared looking furious. Lavender Brown and Alison Edwards. Ginny was shoved aside as Alison approached Harry.
“Harry go out with me I know you want to, I saw you looking at me on the train, and I’m so much better than that thing over there” she said indicating at Ginny.
“No way I know you love me Harry you don’t want them, lay off Alison he’s mine”
“I don’t think so Lavy dear he’s mine!”
“No way he’s mine he loves me!”
“HE LOVES ME HE’S MINE!”
The two girl’s voices rang through the common room and Harry ruffled his hair impatiently. Eventually he decided to brake up the on going argument.
“SHUT UP!” He yelled and the two girls immediately obeyed.
“I think you’ll find you mad little ferrets that if anyone’s I’m hers…” he said indicating at Ginny. “G’night Gin I’ll see you tomorrow” He kissed her briefly and disappeared up to his dormitory, leaving three stunned girls in his wake.
