Scholastic have today
announced multiple marketing plans for the build up toward the July 21st release of
Deathly Hallows. The countdown, under the tagline of "There will soon be 7", begins on April 17th.
In keeping with the magical number, Scholastic will be asking fans "the 7 biggest questions relating to J.K. Rowling’s last Harry Potter book". Fans will be able to vote for their favourite answer and discuss their ideas on message boards.
Most notably a Knight Bus tour is scheduled to start on June 2nd. This tour will make stops at 40 libraries in 10 metropolitan areas, starting off in New York City. At every location fans will be able to board the Knight Bus and detail their theories and thoughts on video in regards to the last book. A selection of these clips will later be uploaded to the Scholastic website. The Knight Bus will also be able to be tracked online from June 1st with a tour tracker which will include videos and blogs.
