Drabble 87: Gape

The storm continued for a week, causing Winky to gape at the amount of rain they had got. The grounds were flooded, completely engulfed by the water which ran down the hill and into the overly large lake where the Giant Squid was trying not to drown so to speak. Winky stayed inside where it was warm, feeling the icy chill even through the thick walls. She wondered if it would ever stop when she awoke one morning to see the sun shining down, drying all the water. It was a new dawn, which gave hre hope for the future.
