She really didn't mind them, they were quite harmless and even if you were bitten by something and seconds away from death, it wasn't anything a good potion couldn't fix.

When Allegra stated the subject she taught, Maddison's eyes widened a bit. "Ancient Runes? Very interesting. Yes I'm afraid that even I was not very fond of that subject, although now that I'm older I've come to appreciate it more."

Maddison shrugged her shoulders slightly at Allegra's next inquiry, "I'm getting along just fine I suppose. It was and still is a bit overwhelming, but I expect I shall adjust. Also the move from America to London was a bit stressful, but after I got all of my personal affairs in order, everything seemed to fall into place."

"How long have you been teaching here?" she asked before taking a sip of her juice.

"The outdoors are very nice. I don't care for them here so much but back home they're fantastic!" Allegra, being Italian, would always prefer it over anywhere else in the world. Why she came here, no one knew but herself. Italians around her home could be snobby little things so moving was the last option to get away from that.

"You're American? It's very lovely there. I was over there a couple years ago the weather was so nice. I can't remember where I was, though. Anyway when I moved here from Venice, I had trouble adjusting to some of the things here but everything's in place now." She took a sip of her juice in her goblet and smiled. "This is my second year teaching here and I've enjoyed every minute of it so far."
