Hogwarts RPG Name: Sylvannas Quickspeed Sixth | Chapter 15 Hermione wasn't released from the hospital for a long time. She managed to pass the time only when Draco was with her. It seemed as if Harry had passed out of her life, and she knew it was her fault. Draco noticed that she wasn't getting any better, so he talked to her Healer.
"Mr. Phillips?"
"Yes son?" Mr. Phillips didn't care for children, but he listened.
"What's wrong with Hermione? She....isn't getting any better."
"I am also curious as to why the potions aren't working. Sonce you spend so much time with her, son, why don't you try asking her?"
So at Draco's evening visit, he brought it up, when there was a lull in conversation.
"Hermione?"
"Yes Draco?" She kept staring out the window.
"I talked to your Healer today." Hermione stiffened, but remained in her position. "He said you weren't getting any better, and I agree. Why do you think that is 'Mione?"
"I...I have no idea." Hermione said quickly, and covered her eyes. Draco let her stay like that, then gently pried her hands away. She was crying.
"'Mione! WHat happened love?" Draco embraced her, and she folded into his arms. She shuddered with her sobs.
"Oh, oh...Draco, it's my fault Harry broke up with me! I'm so-so up-up-upset, and I know that Ron is going to take Harry's side, and then I'll have no one, and..." Hermione was openly crying, and Draco was close to tears himself.
"Hermione, you're not responcsible for what Potter does. If he wants to break up with a beautiful girl like you, then that's his loss."
"But-but-"
"No ma'am Hermione! Now, I think that all this extra stress is self-induced. There is no reason why you're acting up like this. And it doesn't help the matter if you won't take your potions!"
Hermione drew away from him.
"How...how did you know that?"
"Lucky guess. But since it's true, why 'Mione?"
"I...I...don't know. It just didn't seem right. And I didn't want to take them anymore."
Draco sighed, and began to stroke Hermione's hair.
"'Mione, we have to get over this. There's only this year, then we're free from Hogwarts. Then, we can get married....that is, if you still want to."
Hermione hesitated, then looked up at Draco. She kissed him lightly.
"Draco...I don't want to marry anyone else but you. And...that's the truth."
Draco smiled, and kissed Hermione back.

The next day, Hermione began to take all her potions, and a few days later, she was back at Hogwarts. Hermione was welcomed back warmly by the Gryffindors, with one exception: Harry.
Ron still hung out with Hermione. He was trying his best to get the two of them to talk, but with no sucess. Harry refused to talk to Hermione, and Hermione was soon back on potions. Ron worried over Hermione, and finally approached Harry.
"Harry?" Harry and Ron were playing chess.
"What?" Harry's pawn just got taken out by Ron's queen, and Harry wasn't in a good mood.
"I need you to notice what Hermione's been doing."
"Why do I care? She's not my girlfriend anymore."
"But Harry, she's on medication! Doesn't that mean ANYTHING to you?"
"Medication?" Harry looked up from the board, worried.
'Yes! She's on like, 3 potions, and do you know why?"
"Why?"
"It's because of you! She's worried that this whole thing with Malfoy is going to ruin your friendship, and this whole thing isn't her fault! She didn't ask to be betrothed to Malfoy! You need to talk to her!"
Harry looked away from the board.
"I...I can't."
Ron stuttered.
"Didn't you hear what I just said?"
"I heard you, but....I still can't. I have to date someone else. I still love her. And I can't get in her way. Give me time to get a girl, then we'll talk. I promise."
"Dude, you'd better hurry.."
