Hogwarts RPG Name: Sylvannas Quickspeed Sixth | Chapter 12 Valentine's Day was rapidly approaching. And so was Hermione's breakdown. She wasn't present in every class, and was often in the Hospital Wing. Harry came to visit her every time she was in there, but so did a certain Draco Malfoy. Harry would go home for the evening, and then Drco turned up after visiting hours. Hermione never asked him how he managed to get past Madam Pomfrey, and Draco didn't bring up the subject. But Harry did.
It happened one evening, after a particularly nasty incident during Herbology, that involved a potted Sienna plant, and a pair of scissors. Harry had Hermione's hand in his, and she seemed to be preoccipied. She was like that often.
"Hermione?"
"Yes Harry?" Hermione moved her head so she was facing him.
"What's wrong with you? I mean, with these attacks. You seem to be so nervous lately, and you drop everything when either I or Malfoy enter a room. What is up with you? Is it about Malfoy?"
"Harry...you know that we're engaged...and, he's been paying more attention to me." She admitted miserably. Finally, the truth was out. Harry let go of her hand.
"So....that's it? Malfoy's been seeing you, hasn't he?"
"Harry-"
"No no, he has! This is it! The last straw. Hermione, you're leaving the Hospital Wing. I don't want you in places where Malfoy has easy acess to you."
"Harry, I'm his fiancee-"
"Stop it Hermione." Harry was mad now, and Hermione had never seen him in such a rage. "Stop it right now! You're not seeing Malfoy ever again! I forbid it!"
"Harry, that's not fair! You can't control my life!" Now Hermione was mad. She got up out of the bed and faced him. "I can do whatever I like, whenever I like it! And if I want to talk to Draco, than I will-"
"Oh, so you call him DRACO now, don't you? Does he call you his little mudblood?"
Hermione was so furious she couldn't speak. She seemed ready to explode. Then quite suddenly, she fell to the floor, unconscience.
"MADAM POMFREY! HURRY!" Harry yelled for the nurse, and she came bustling out, as mad as Hermione was.
"You stay away Mr. Potter! I think you've done enough damage." She pulled Harry away, and Harry stood, shocked at the nurses words.
"ME? But, Madam Pomfrey-"
"I said enough Potter! I hear you two plenty, you're always yelling at her, placing the whole world on her shoulders."
Madam Pomfrey waved her wand, and became worried when nothing happened.
"Wonderful." She got up, and waved her wand again. A rolled up piece og parchment came out of nowhere, and she gave this to Harry. "Take this to Dumbledore Mr. Potter. Hurry."
Harry raced to Dumbledore's office. Dumbledore was waiting.
"Yes Harry?" Harry gave him the piece of parchment, to out of breath to talk. Dumbledore read it, and grew grave. "To the Hospital Wing, Harry."
Harry could barely keep up with the old man, but they arrived soon enough. Hermione was on a floating stretcher, and Madam Pomfrey had also summoned McGonagal. She too, looked grave.
"To Saint Mungo's then, Albus?" McGonagal asked.
"Yes Minerva, quickly." McGonagal took Hermione out of the room, still on the stretcher. Harry looked at the two remaining, confused.
"What just happened?"
"Well Harry, Hermione had a breakdown. She isn't functioning normally. I am sending her to St. Mungo's for now, and they will give a proper diagnosis. I shall give out a notice to all her friends when it is alright to visit her. But for now, it's best she is alone."
"But...but...what caused it?"
"Stress!" Madam Pomfrey squawked, and Dumbledore turned to look at her. " Too much stress and pressure, Mr. Potter! And caused by people she loves and cares about!"
"Harry? You know something?" Dumbledore went back to Harry.
"Well, we were having some problems, but I never thought-"
The doors burst open, and to Harry's disgust, Draco came though.
"POTTER!" Draco cried out. "What did you do to her?"
"What did I do to her? What did you do to her? Why didn't you just leave her alone? Now she's going to St. Mungo's!"
Harry and Draco were close to blows, but DUmbledore stood between them.
"Enough! I won't tolerate muggle fighting in my castle and my school! I'm sure the both of you can settle this later. And since you both care about her so much, you two shall be the first to know wneh she is ready for visitors. Now, leave!"
Harry left first, deliberately not looking at Draco. He bumped into Draco on purpose, and Draco brushed his shoulder, as if something gross had touched it. Then Draco was also gone. Dumbledore turned to Madam Pomfrey.
"Hermione and Draco?"
"Well, they're kids Albus. What do you expect?"
