Post HP actor raises funds for cancer patients

HP actor and comedian Jim Tavaré, who played Tom the innkeeper at The Leaky Cauldron in Prisoner of Azkaban, is throwing a benefit to raise awareness and money for Burkitt’s lymphoma, a rare form of cancer. All proceeds for the fundraiser will go to Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London, where Tavaré’s young son was treated last year for the disease.

Quote:
He had widespread abdominal tumours - one the size of a tennis ball - and disease of the bone marrow. After eight months of chemotherapy, much pain and bravery, he pulled through in time for Christmas.

I’m putting together his benefit as a way of saying thank you to Great Ormond Street and to raise awareness of the disease.
The show, featuring several comedians, is scheduled for Sunday, February 25, at Jongleurs Battersea, a comedy club in London.
