I Can't Believe


I can't believe we used to sit together on that bench.
I can't believe used to play with each other all the time.
I can't believe you used to tease me and call me "wench!"
I can't believe you would be with me when I made a rhyme.

I can't believe that we used to watch TV on that couch.
I can't believe that when my phone rang it would always be you.
I can't believe how we would play hide-and-seek, and you would always crouch.
I can't believe how I would always laugh with you, and you would laugh with me too.

I can't believe that I'm actually writing this out.
I can't believe that you aren't ever, ever here to help me.
I can't believe that my life has taken a different route.
I cant believe this all happened just 'cause we weren't meant to be.
