Jeremiah didn't like being ferociously beaten on the back by some quirky stranger. He didn't like her outburst that made everyone in the class's head swivel either. And the ruffling of his hair didn't exactly make his day. Quickly Jeremiah reached up and straightened his hair. He did not appreciate her intruding on his invisible-ness.

"Erm, thank you, Professor," Jeremiah forced out between gritted teeth and made himself smile, which probably looked like a pained grimace - which, of course, it was.

Once the woman left him to go back to that pleasant little girl known as Bucky, Jeremiah slouched back in his seat, something he would never be allowed to do at home. But he didn't care. Slouching replaced some of the invisibleness Hepzibah had taken away.
