There is a slight whirling sound as a parchment envelope flies through the door, seemingly of it's own accord. Emblazoned on the front of the envelope is a wax seal with the words "To Hepzibar Hart" scratched into it. The note inside reads :

I realise I have no right to ever speak to you again but I would like to offer my sincere apologies over earlier's incident. I deserve no forgiveness or pity from you because of my shameful behaviour but I would at least like to explain my reasons. My mother passed away recently and it was her birthday yesterday. I have thus far proved myself incapable of conveying my emotions and I think because I have gone so long without crying, screaming or throwing a fit that the dam well and truly burst. I know I don't deserve your forgiveness but just wanted to make my situation clear. Have a pleasant evening.
