Then Tag watched in disbelief as the Professor handed Kemma another caterpillar. What are you doing?! Didn't you see her pulverize the first one? Now fully convinced that Professor Pride must have something against insects, it was time to take action. Tag waited for her to move past then and to the other students. Kemma was trying again, this time from the aisle. She even managed to transform Caterpillar #2 back to its original state, but it didn't matter. This caterpillar's life was obviously in serious peril, as were the rest of them. Save the ones you can. . . Waiting for Kemma to finish, Tag gave her a meaningful look, then leaned over and snatched the green critter from its desk-prison. The martyr two has been spared, I repeat! Martyr two has been spared!
Neva notices what is going on. She picks up her little green furball, walks over to Tag and hands him the creature with a smile.
She twirls around and walks back to her seat, a small smile on her face.
