“Rather small frame you have, dear,” Hermione’s closet said to her the next morning as she climbed out of bed.

Hermione rubbed her eyes, and then jumped at what she’s heard. “What?”
“A small frame, dear. You’re petite.”

Hermione shoved her clothes aside, looking in the back of the room that the voice was coming from. Nothing appeared – just solid wall.

“What is this?” she asked. She’d never read of anything like it before.

“Well, I believe they’re your clothes. I resized a few of them and added a couple of extra ones that seem to match your taste.”

A ‘couple’ was an understatement. The closet closed its door and opened again. Before, Hermione’s clothes took up about a fourth of the closed, and now it was full to bursting. The closet was right – they were all things she’d wear.

Hermione pulled her hair back, not quite believing what she was seeing. Finally, after standing there with her mouth agape for several minutes, Hermione picked out a blouse and a pair of slacks. “Er … Thank you?”

“My pleasure, dear,” it replied, closing the doors once more.

When Hermione went down to breakfast, Viktor sat at the table, grinning at her. “How vas your surprise?”

“Too early,” she mumbled in response. “I’d thought I was imagining it all at first! Where did you ever find one of those?”

“It is actually not vhat you are thinking – a motherly ghost haunts your side of the house, and she particularly enjoys fitting clothes for our gests. Nice lady, is she not?”

Hermione nodded, biting into a piece of toast. “We’re going swimming today, right? I don’t have a suit.”

“Do not vorry, she vill get it for you. The Closet Lady always has extra everything. Vell, after breakfast today, ve vill be going out for lunch, and vhen ve get back, ve vill go swimming, all right?”

Hermione nodded, smiling. “That sounds perfect.”
