The Squid: Part 1

“Don’t be such a bore, Neville.” Luna said.

They were sitting on the ground, leaning against a tree in front of the lake. In the distance, they could see several first years playing with the giant squid. It would pick them up and throw them into the lake, and then would swim back to shore, and then stand at the edge of the water, waiting for it to toss them back in.

“But I don’t want that thing to touch me.” Neville repeated in a small voice. “Well,” Luna said standing up and brushing the grass off of her pants, “I am going with or with out you.” With that she took off running. Neville laughed as he saw her flying through the air, landing in the water.
