3. Transfiguration
With a word and a movement of her wand, the twittering parakeet flapping before Bella rapidly transformed into a quill. She picked up the neon yellow feather, wondering if maybe this would work on her mothers annoying pet birds. She’d have four new quills: two green ones, and two blue ones. Everyone in the house would thank her, except her mother.

“Bravo!” Bella’s transfiguration professor appeared at her side, clapping his pudgy hands together. “The first in the year to produce a successful transformation of bird to quill!” Bella didn’t smile, but she was overjoyed. “Thank you,” she said haughtily.
