Ok, I'm posting now cause if I don't, it'd be left til like, tomorrow Anyways, I kinda hadto change some things (cause I just finished HBP again yesterday morning and I totally, totally completely and utterly forgot about the H/G in the end, so I had to change some things...)
Anyways, here's the next chapter (not my shortest, but this is where it gets shorts and shorter kinda until it hits a certain point... creative block at this time).
Enjoy I guess

Chapter 10
Lunch and a Letter

“Hey, Gin. Want to go out for lunch?” Hermione asked her friend.
“Sure,” Ginny responded, grinning. They grabbed their cloaks, since it was noon.
“Where to?” she asked Hermione.
“Uh... you pick,” Hermione responded.
“For old time’s sake, Florean Fortescue’s,” Ginny said. Before Hermione could say it wasn’t much of a lunch, Ginny was gone with a pop. Chuckling and rolling her eyes, Hermione followed. With the faintest pop, she Disapparated from the front door of Number 12 Grimmauld Place and was now standing at the front entrance of Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlour.
“Took you long enough!” Ginny stated with a broad smile. They entered the ice cream parlour and saw Mr. Fortescue waiting behind the counter. They haven’t seen him since Hermione’s 5th year and Ginny’s 4th year, since he was ‘dragged off’ in their 6th and 5th years.
“Good afternoon, ladies!” the parlour owner exclaimed. “What would you like today?”
Ginny picked out some chocolate ice cream, and Hermione picked mint chocolate chip (out of story, couldn’t resist, it’s my favourite flavour Been so long now...). They went outside and took a seat, eating their ice cream and talking about what’s happened with each other lately.
“So last I heard, you and Malfoy are back together,” Ginny said with a hint of teasing in her voice, reminding Hermione about her 7th year.
“And last I saw, you and Harry are together... again,” Hermione shot back with a triumphant grin.
“Again?” Ginny seemed to have completely forgotten about her 4th year. Hermione started laughing. “What?” Ginny asked, slightly confused.
“I can’t believe you forgot...”
“Forgot what?”
“Your 5th year... Harry’s 6th...?”
Ginny’s face lit up in realization. She started laughing, finding it amusing that she herself forgot when she was the one in the relationship, yet Hermione remembered and she had nearly nothing to do with it. Especially considering Harry was the one that broke up with her, and that never happened, Ginny always broke up with the guy.
“So how’d you and Malfoy get back together anyways?” Ginny asked as she bit into her cone.
Hermione told the quick story of how she was thrown to the floor in the middle of the night by Draco and her yelling at him angrily turned into a passionate kiss.
“So what’s your story? I mean, I just saw you and Harry kiss in the back, but how’d that come about? Was it your first with him, or were you already with him before then?”
Ginny started explaining how she was trying to help Harry out of mourning over his loss of Hermione, and how it seemed while she was helping him, they grew onto each other, eventually showing it for one another that one day Hermione was looking out her window.
“And I heard you and Ickle-Ronnie-kins had a horrible row,” Ginny commented casually as she finished the last bit of her ice cream. Hermione’s face darkened slightly.
“I’ve been wanting to tell what I did for so many years...” she muttered as she shook her head slowly. It took her until the day she was out of control in her room after the row to realize how overprotective Ron had been and how it caused her to miss out on a fair amount of chances.
“What did you tell him, then?”
“That he was being childishly overprotective for the past nine or so years...” she trailed off, trying to push away the memory.
“How’d that come around?”
“Ron being his usual self, up front and bluntly annoying.”
Ginny chuckled, Hermione said it correctly. They chatted, asking questions about everything they could think of. They ended up buying three ice creams, their conversation was that long. They made a quick stop at Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes.
“G’day Hermione, Gin-Gin,” Fred announced when he saw his sister and her friend come into the store. To both Ginny and Hermione’s surprise, George, who was next to him, didn’t say it at the same time, or finish his twin’s sentence.
“Freddy-Weddy-Kins,” Ginny responded, smirking. Fred mock scowled.
“Decided against bring our top sorter, eh?” George asked with a grin.
“Sorry, your free help didn’t come this time,” Hermione said, a sarcastic smile creeping onto her face.
“Aw, too bad,” Fred and George commented together, a smirk equal to Ginny’s on both of their faces.
“So what’s this news about Harry, Gin-Gin?” George asked, turning to look at his sister.
“How’d you know?” Ginny asked, amazed at their finding-out.
“Mum,” Fred and George responded.
“She knows?”
“Obviously,” the twins said.
“I never told her...” Ginny said slowly
“Harry might’ve...
“Slipped word,” Fred finished.
Ginny rolled her eyes. They left the two and wandered around the store. Ginny got a replacement Pygmy Puff for the loss of Arnold, and Hermione just followed her, not wanting to buy anything.
When the two got home, Hermione was greeted by an owl. She recognized it immediately; it was from Hogwarts.
