“Just ignore him,” Hermione said, holding the boys by the arm. “He’s a prat.”

Harry let it go. But Ron looked at her face saw the hurt in her eyes.

“Let it go, yeah,” he unhooked his arm.

Walking after Draco he tapped him on the shoulder. As the boy turned Ron slammed his fist into his face. He crashed on the floor.

“You’re right Hermione. Let it go.”

“Detention!”

Harry and Hermione waited up. She’d never admit it, but Hermione loved Ron for what he’d done, she wished he hadn’t, but was glad he had. It was so confusing.
