He remembered Sirius’s death, and now Dumbledore’s and for the first time in a long time, Harry Potter felt truly fearful. He couldn’t bear it if anything ever happened to her. Ron and Hermione would be with him, he could take care of them. Besides, the truth of it was he couldn’t stop them.
But if Ginny … he couldn’t bear to think it and it broke his heart.
“Everything all right mate?” Ron asked.
“I don’t think anything will ever be right again,” Hermione said.
Ron took her in his arms as she started sobbing. Dumbledore was gone now.
