Chapter 5,The End of an Era
The stress is beginning to decrease as I completed each N.E.W.T.s test. As I finished the last test, I felt a huge sense of relief. I did it! With knowing that school would be out shortly the only thought through my mind was: where did all the time go? I feel like yesterday was the first time I met Harry, Ron and the Weasleys and I had just started at Hogwarts, now I was with Harry (and pregnant with his child) and school is ending. Life passes by so fast that you don’t realize it.
Harry, Ron and I walked to our table and sat down. We all felt a huge sense of pride of finishing our tests. “I can’t believe schools almost over” I said sadly. “Yeah, me too. This place has so many memories” Harry said looking around with a grin on his face. “I’m going to miss this place” Ron said. “Yeah, even though I’ll be coming back as a teacher, it’s not the same as being a student” I said softly. We ate with memories racing throughout our minds.
Sadly to us and everyone else, the next week passed by so fast and it was graduation day. The day in which no ones life would be the same. We all had to make choices that would change our lives forever. It also states that we are crossing the bridge between childhood and adulthood. It scared a lot of people that know that after tomorrow on the last time we will be on that train that we have to change. Harry and I walked into the Great Hall and everything seemed to shine. Most of the guys were just wearing old dress robes but the girls were in beautiful gowns. I was simply in a dark red dress the sat on my shoulders and fell just before my knees. We sat down as everyone got a diploma from our Headmistress.”Granger, Hermione” I heard and as if it was the first time my name was called 7 years ago, I was super nervous. I walked up and was given my diploma.
There was a party, of course. Everyone seemed to be too sad to dance but I wasn’t. I wasn’t spending my last day at Hogwarts crying. I looked at Harry and smiled. “Harry, dance with me” I said in a commanding voice. “Hermione!” he moaned. He's so lazy! “Come on!” he smiled at me and we danced. Everyone seemed to disappear as we danced close. It was just me and him.

“Come on!” I said. “We have to get a good seat on our last ride!” “Ok, Miss Bossy!” “Its Mrs. Potter to you” I said slyly. All three of us put our stuff away and Harry whispered to Ron, who left. “Not yet…” Harry said and dropped to one knee.”Oh my god” I whispered in shock. “Hermione Jane Granger, love of my life, mother of my soon to be child, my best friend. Will you marry me?” he said and opened a red box which held a delicate diamond ring. “Yes!” I said loudly and I kissed him passionately. He kissed me back and put the ring on my finger. “I love you” “I love you”
Ron and Ginny were very happy for us. On the last ride of our childhood, I felt like I was finally an adult. I felt like my life was a dream, that I never wanted to wake up from.
