My poetry isn't usually deep and it doesn't always have a message...I like to write about things that interest me. Sometimes my poems are so long that they're like rhyming stories or something...Here's one that I wrote in class, about a week before Father's Day...

Daddy Dear

I love you so
My Daddy Dear
My heart just lightens
When you are near

You shower me with gifts
Even when I oppose
I think you'd buy me the world
If I were to say so

Oh Daddy Dear
You will always be in my heart
Because you were with me
From the very start

Your day is approaching
Father's Day, who knew?
Now that you've made me happy
What can I do for you?
