Hogwarts RPG Name: Charlotte (Charlie) Elizabeth Jamison | Going Broadway <3 ‘Could she be right?’ Charlie found herself wondering. She would walk around the castle just wondering that to herself. It was true; she hadn’t seen Draco in two days now. He was obviously avoiding her. When she saw him, what he going to break up with her? Oh, probably. That made her only want to avoid him, too. Unfortunately, that was not Charlie’s strong point; if she wanted to avoid people, she usually found them. Just like the person she wanted to see last at this moment, in an abandoned hallway, and it wasn’t Draco. After later thinking, Charlie wouldn’t have minded meeting Draco in an abandoned hallway…
It was dark, nighttime, and she should have been back in her common room, but she wasn’t. When no one else was around, Charlie could be stealthy and quiet so she wasn’t really worried about getting caught.
“Hello, Charlotte.” A soft voice hissed. Charlie jumped and clapped a hand to her mouth to stop her from screaming.
“What do you want?” Charlie asked. She still couldn’t see the girl, but Charlie knew it was Ashley, just by the sound of her voice. Ashley waited a while to answer.
“I hear you and your boyfriend are on the verge of breaking up.” She finally said, carefully.
“We are not.” Charlie answered quickly, instinctively almost. Ashley laughed softly.
“Come here, Charlie.” Ashley whispered, to Charlie it sounded more like a snake hiss. Charlie walked a little towards the voice tentatively.
“Now, don’t lie to me, Charlotte. I know what’s right, and what’s wrong. You’re avoiding him, and he’s avoiding you. You’re very alone now. The Slytherin girls aren’t your friends because you have or had Draco. The Slytherin boys aren’t your friends, in case of making Draco mad… or you’ve hurt their best friend, or he’s spread rumors about you. The rest of the school hates you, because you’re a Slytherin. I’m all you have, Charlie, so don’t lie to me.” Ashley said softly. Charlie tried to protest, but as Ashley spoke she realized it was true. Tears were pushing at her eyes, but Charlie was determined not to let them fall.
“I don’t have you.” Charlie finally managed, weakly.
“Of course you do, you idiot. Don’t you realize I’m still ALWAYS here when you need someone?!” Ashley asked, nearing shouting now. Charlie realized this was also true.
“Only to mock me.” She protested. Ashley cackled and shook her head from side to side.
“Poor, naïve girl,” Ashley muttered under her breath, “you really think everyone has a happy ending, don’t you?? Of course not! How much do you really think I could fit in with ‘The Golden Trio’? They don’t want me. I’m just as lonely as you are.” Ashley said this harshly, but it was really a confession.
“Ash…” Charlie said softly, “I never wanted for you to leave.”
“Of course not.” Ashley said sarcastically. “You only spent every moment of everyday with someone you KNEW I couldn’t stand.” Charlie sighed.
“Ash, it wasn’t like that. I … I love him.” Charlie admitted to the first person, other then Draco himself.
“Well, now you’ve lost him. And if I wasn’t so ******* desperate you would have lost me too.” Charlie was very appreciative all of a sudden.
“Ashley… can we just… put Draco behind us? I obviously can’t talk to him, and I won’t talk about him, or even think about him. Things can be the way they always were… with the boyfriends we never had.” Charlie tried to smile. Ashley couldn’t help but smile as well.
“Alright. And with that ring, you can call me, so if we still have anything to say to each other… we can talk all the time.” Ashley said. She loved Charlie’s ring. She thought Charlie didn’t use it enough, since she only used it to call Ashley, who she could see. Ashley knew she would have called her mother, who was dead, but Charlie wouldn’t let her use the ring. She wouldn’t let ANYONE use the ring. So, Charlie and Ashley went back to their dormitories. Charlie was smiling, and so was Ashley. Especially when Charlie used the ring to call Ashley.
“Hey, Ash.” Charlie said.
“Charlie! This is fun.” Ashley said. It was just like old times now, with more communication.
