4. Blasting Curse

“Can you believe I’ve been partnered up against Malfoy? Do they want me to die?” Ron shook his head and fiddled with his wand.

Neville smiled at him and patted him on the back. “Don’t worry Ron, it’s just a duel. Besides it’s not like he can kill you or anything. And Professor Snape will be there as well.”

“Oh right, because he will be so quick to come to my aide if Malfoy “accidentally” blows my head off.” he rolled his eyes as they entered the dueling arena.

Standing in position and wand at the ready, Ron kept a watchful eye on Malfoy. Taking a hard swallow he prepared himself to be sent back to the Burrow.

“Wands at the ready!” ordered Professor Snape. Both Malfoy and Ron stood ready to blast off their defensive spells.

As Snape was about to walk away, Malfoy sent a blasting curse in Ron’s direction. Before they knew it Professor Snape was thrown backwards and landed hard on the floor.

Everyone went quiet and Ron simply stared at Snape, while Malfoy’s skin became the color of his robes.

All that could be heard in the background was the clicking of Colin Creevey’s Camera.
