Nox “What are you doing out of bed at this hour?” Hermione inquired when she spotted Draco meandering down the hospital wing hallway.
He cocked an eyebrow. “I could be asking the same of you, Granger.” He brought his lighted wand to her face.
Huffing, she muttered, “Never mind.”
“Fine, I confess,” Draco sighed, starting to walk. Hermione strolled beside him. “I fancied a midnight walk.”
Hermione snorted. “And since when did you fancy walks at night when you could be sleeping?” They stopped in a particularly desolate crevice of the hallway.
“Then again, you don’t know much about me, Granger, do you?” He hoisted himself up on a wide windowsill and patted the spot next to him, indicating for her to sit.
She obliged. “Good point. I don’t know much about you and I don’t know if I want to.”
Twiddling his wand effortlessly between his fingers, Draco objected, “Of course you want to know me.” He gave her a crafty grin and whispered, “Nox.” All was dark.
Nervously laughing, Hermione asked, “What was that?”
He wiggled his eyebrows. “Just one of my hidden talents. So is this.” Leaning over, he pressed his lips against hers in a lingering kiss.
