Justin's eyes opened, and he looked up and was surprised to see not the canopy of his dorm bed, but the ceiling of the Hospital Wing.

"Huh, whaaaa?" he said, his mouth too dry to form proper words.

Professor Dumbledore leaned over him. "You were petrified I'm afraid. I'll tell you the full story shortly, but first I thought a little present may be in order".

Justin sat up at the mention of a present, and took the small parcel from the Headmaster. He unwrapped it to reveal a pair of knee length purple and green spotted socks.
