The Scotsman reports that the
National Library of Scotland plans to archive blogs, journals and e-mails written by leading Scots - with the possibility of including the online writings of J.K.Rowling. A £1.8million grant has been secured for the project which would store potential manuscripts of the 21st Century.

Simon Bains, the digital library manager of the NLS, said: "We won't be preserving everything - we'll select what appears to be of cultural significance from online journals, websites, blogs and e-mails.
