Drabble #94 - Common Room
The common room was crowded this evening, but despite the fact that the circular room was teeming with people, the atmosphere was subdued. Katie sat beside George Weasley, holding his hand as he tried very hard not to weep.
She had no words, nothing to say that would make the Weasleys feel better. Not when she herself was scared, so scared that she might have easily lost someone herself. It was a selfish thought, and it filled her with guilt, so she put both arms around George as a tear slid down his cheek.
