Katie often wondered if the Sorting Hat had made the right choice in putting her in Gryffindor.
Her hands shook and beads of sweat dotted her forehead. She raised her eyes to what awaited her and lowered them immediately.
She contemplated turning back, fleeing the scene and holing herself up in the relative safety of her flat. But even as the thought came to her, she knew it was impossible.
So many people were counting on her, so she gathered her courage.
“Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the holy matrimony of Marcus Flint and Katie Bell.”
